Local setup & requirements

Miner availability depends on your desktop release and rollout. Keep the desktop app open and use the same Sonic account as in your browser. Load a compatible model in Ollama or LM Studio and add your own search key in Miner settings; you create the key with your search provider. The app checks the model connection.

Reported test setup: M4 Pro + qwen3:8b Q4_K_M through Ollama. This is a tested example, not a minimum requirement or performance promise. Memory needs and speed depend on the model; a reliable minimum RAM/chip specification has not been validated yet.

Today: up to 20 companies per run, 3–41 searches, one active run. Start each run yourself. Search, electricity and hardware may cost money; results sync to Sonic.
